Ps3 fanboys can be so funny the way they are always trying to downplay 360 games. I bought into all the hype and bought Resistance and Killzone 2 and while they are good games, at the end of the day I would still rather play Halo 3. Halo 3 ODST is a first day buy for me.
It looks to me like they are bringing the games and Facebook, twitter, etc.
Bring on the $500 hard drives! /jk
Two dildos are better than one. /jk
Sony invented the internet too. We should all be grateful.
It's curious the way PS3 fans are here claiming that nobody thinks the graphics in Alan Wake are impressive yet in this very article the author praises the graphics saying "and the setting-supported by some fantastic outdoor environmental visuals".
Also, Alan Wake was a runner up in several Best Graphics awards at several game sites. Mass Effect 2 was also nominated in several places.
Agreed, GEC, we need to see more before we can say just how good it looks. But it doesn't need to be THE best looking game in order to be an awesome-looking and awesome-playing game.
From what we have seen so far it looks great and I can't wait to see more.
Chubear, GTFO with your stupid condescending comments. I have both consoles and I know full well what I am getting with each one. I don't need some delusional fanboy trying to tell me what I should think about the two consoles. To me both consoles have their pluses and minuses, but I do have a bit of a preference for my 360.
The 360 generally has the best looking versions of most multiplatform games, while the PS3 tends to have some amazing looking exclusives. The 360 has som...
Nobody said it is THE best looking game. PS3 fanboys are usually the ones that always try to think in absolutes.
I think most of us are just saying that it looks incredible in terms of graphics, but also looks like it is going to be a really fresh and exciting game.
I generally prefer my 360, but Uncharted is a brilliant game. I loved everything about it and it is my favorite game on the PS3 by far. Uncharted 2 will hopefully get the recognition it deserves.
Alan Wake does look amazing. It looks better than GoW3 in many ways and is a much, much larger game. GOW3 is mostly a linear action game and looks good, but still moves like a last gen game.
Anybody that thinks GOW3 couldn't be done on the 360 knows nothing about the technical capabilities of the two consoles.
@WEL
I agreed with him because his comment makes sense. It is the comment under his that is trollish and nonsensical.
Overlord was a fun game on the 360 and PS3. This one seems like a nice addition to the Wii library.
You mean Terminal Reality along with about 90% or all other multiplatform developers out there? Sadly, it isn't just Terminal Reality having problems on the PS3.
Terminal Reality's work was particularly bad on the PS3, but it is obvious a majority of developers are having problems on the PS3 getting their PS3 versions up to the quality of their 360 versions.
Recent games that I have looked at that have looked better on the 360 are:
Chronicles of Riddick AoDA ...
I thought the 360 version looked a little sharper and clearer in the screenshots, but the difference is pretty small. I know from experience, however, that you don't really notice most of the differences in screenshots. You notice most of the differences when you actually have the games running on your tv.
Too bad the game looks like crap on both consoles.
Graphics matter, but they aren't the most important thing. First is whether or not the game is good. If it is a good game then nice graphics are a plus.
That is why it is more important to have better graphics on multiplatform games than on exclusives. With exclusives there is only one choice and the graphics are what they are. If you like the game then the good graphics are a plus, but if you don't like the game it doesn't matter whether the graphics are good or not.
...
That's why it is called "Games For Windows".
You're an idiot. Orange Box is one of the best values in gaming ever. The 5 games included in the box are 5 of the best games I have ever played. Half Life 2 is still better than most shooters out there today. Portal is one of the most unique and enjoyable puzzle-type games ever created and Team Fortress 2 is loads of fun online.
There is a reason Orange Box has a 96 on metacritic.
Because people know your post history and know that you are just a PS3 fanboy attacking Halo because it is successful. How many Metal Gear Solid or Ratchet & Clank games have there been?
